Carly inspires at Nottingham’s Games of Remembrance

On the 8th of November,  Notts County and Nottingham Forest joined forces with the British Army Football Association to host the Greatest Games of Remembrance. The Games of Remembrance, which first took place in 2014, see troops from the British Army Football Association take on the German Bundeswehr (Armed Forces) to commemorate soldiers from both sides who made the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War.

This year, Carly joined the event presenting a crowd-pleasing performance of her single ‘Liberty’. The original recorded track, featuring the Invictus Games Choir, topped the iTunes video chart with proceeds from the sale of the single going to Help for Heroes who support the choir..

 

Festive Debenhams performance for Help For Heroes

On Tuesday 6th November, classical star Carly Paoli swapped stage for shop floor to raise money for Help for Heroes at Oxford Street’s Debenhams during the Christmas Lights Switch On.

As Oxford Street was transformed into a wintery wonderland of Christmas lights and stunning window displays, classical star Carly Paoli sang a selection of festive songs, traditional carols along with a special Christmas medley. Carly’s performance was spread over two sets on Debenhams’ attracting a crowd that spilled onto the street. 

Help for Heroes volunteers and Debenhams staff collected money for this worthy cause. Debenhams has raised over £2 million since the partnership started in 2014, the incredible fundraising efforts taken on by the 27,000 Debenhams staff around the country is helping Veterans to live independent and fulfilling lives

“The BRIT nominee Ms Paoli, who has appeared at iconic venues across the globe and appeared with opera greats such as Andrea Bocelli and José Carreras, seemed at home in the hall of Nursteed Primary School.

She said she was passionate about the importance of music in education and wanted to help young children have a love of singing. She is an ambassador for the BBC’s Music Day” The Gazette and Herald

Carly knocks Drake off the top

Carly goes to number one on the iTunes video Chart knocking Drake off his leaders spot. 

Drake was knocked off the top of the iTunes video chart by Carly and The Invictus Games Choir with their stunning video for ‘Liberty featuring Carly in beautiful cinematic locations alongside the raw footage of Carly and the choir recording their song together, all proceeds going towards Help for Heroes.

Cosa si ottiene quando si unisce la Puglia con Mansfield? La risposta: Carly Paoli, vibrante soprano 29enne con una formazione classica, che come ha dimostrato la scorsa settimana a Cadogan Hall, può spaziare in tutto lo spettro musicale. Roba popolare con il coro (con la sua vecchia scuola di recitazione e canto Tring Park a Hertfordshire), l’intera orchestra che ha fatto da spalla alla specialità attuale di Carly, canzoni dai film.

Il suo album, Singing my dreams, che include un duetto con José Carreras, Paoli che canta il suo testo per la musica Legends of the Fall del compianto James Horner e la sua performance per la canzone di Ennio Morricone da Cinema Paradiso, è arrivato al 2 posto nelle classifiche di musica classica.Dopo Tring Park, Carly ha frequentato per tre anni il Royal Northern College of Music. Un allettante barlume del suo potenziale come cantante lirica si era visto nella sua bella performance di Song To The Moon di Dvorak da Rusalka.
In quel caso aveva mostrato non solo la sua tecnica quasi perfetta ma anche il suo coraggio; ogni frase, anche quella più acuta, era lanciata con sicurezza e raggiunta senza sforzo.
Il suo vibrato veloce e affascinante regala calore e colore a tutto quello che canta.
Ha anche aiutato il fatto che non solo era attraente nei suoi abiti da sera, ma anche così a suo agio.
Nessun vestito aderente, da oca giuliva per lei. Per Carly il punto non è se lei avrà successo ma come sarà raggiunto.
Continuerà con ballate di alta qualità, proseguirà la sua collaborazione con artisti eccellenti come Andrea Bocelli, con il quale si è esibita spesso negli ultimi mesi?
O farà il grande passo e si butterà seriamente nell’opera?
Nel breve periodo potrebbe essere più faticoso rispetto ad ora, nel lungo periodo la porterebbe sicuramente ad un percorso più lungo e pieno di soddisfazioni.
