On June XNUMXth XNUMX Carly Paoli released her debut album. Entitled, Singing My Dreams, it heralds the entry of a young classically trained artist who has already made headlines with her exquisite emotional and dramatic singing.
Nottinghamshire-born Carly Paoli won scholarships to study at Tring Park and the Royal Northern College of Music. She made her international debut in the David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala in 2014 where she shared the stage with artists including Oscar-winner, Jennifer Hudson and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. In November 2014, Paoli made history as the first artist to perform at The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) Awards in Los Angeles.
In June 2015, she was invited to sing a duet with operatic legend, José Carreras at Windsor Castle, for HRH The Prince of Wales. She was invited back to perform for the Prince and The Duchess of Cornwall at St James’s Palace in June 2016 as part of a fundraising event for The Prince’s Trust. In July Carly headlined a concert at the spectacular, Terme di Caracalla in Rome, again alongside Carreras and joined by celebrated tenor Andrea Bocelli.
In September 2015 and 2016, Carly was invited to perform at The Celebrity Fight Night Gala in Florence with Bocelli and Zubin Mehta. The latter event was shown in America on PBS and the year culminated in performances at Carnegie Hall and Jordan Hall in Boston.
In April 2016, Carly was reunited with David Foster who invited her to perform for guests including Muhammad Ali at Foster’s Celebrity Fight Night Fundraiser in Phoenix, Arizona.
In that same month, it was announced that Carly’s debut single, Ave Maria had been chosen by the Vatican as the official song for Pope Francis’ Jubilee Year of Mercy. Her next release, A Time for Mercy, was the spectacular finale to Music for Mercy, a unique event held in the grounds of The Forum in Rome. She headlined the concert alongside Andrea Bocelli, Elaine Paige, David Foster and The Tenors. It was the first time permission had been granted for a concert to take place in the grounds of The Forum and broadcast live by RAI and later transmitted by SKY ARTS on prime time TV.
In October 2016, Paoli sang at the O2 Arena, her first major appearance in the UK. As a special guest on Bocelli ‘s Cinema tour, she performed a varied programme of opera arias and her own songs. Her duet with Bocelli of Con Te Partirò elicited a standing ovation from an enthralled audience. In contrast to her large arena appearances she performed for a select gathering at the Arts Club in London.
My Christmas Dream is You, her third single, was released in November 2016 and in that same month she sang on the famous Italian children’s show, Zecchino D’Oro and on TV2000. December saw her perform in La Dolce Vita, with the Ennio Morricone Orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio celebrating the music of Italian cinema and at the Capri, Hollywood Festival in Italy. The year culminated for Carly when she was introduced to Pope Francis at The Vatican.
2017 saw Paoli strengthen her following in Italy. She was awarded the Premio Barocco for her contribution to the Italian Arts, which was followed by concerts in Assisi and Sorrento at the invitation of and broadcast on RAI TV.
BAFTA headquarters in Piccadilly was the setting for a specially invited audience to experience a taster of the forthcoming album. A few days later Singing My Dreams, including Music of Heaven by Jason Robert Brown, an arrangement of Where or When by William Ross, James Horner’s theme from Legends of the Fall with lyrics by Carly herself and Ennio Morricone’s song from Cinema Paradiso was released. It went straight to No 2 in the Official Classical Charts garnering 5 Star reviews in the national press.
In ottobre ha intrapreso un tour nazionale nel Regno Unito e in dicembre si è esibito in un concerto di carol nella Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square a favore dell'ente benefico Children and the Arts. A febbraio 15 th 2018 Carly si esibirà nel suo concerto a Londra presso Cadogan Hall. Presentato da Abiah Music, ospiterà ospiti speciali, il tenore di flautista Andrea Griminelli, Federico Pacciotti, il coro Tring Park 16 ed è diretto dal compositore e direttore d'orchestra vincitore del Grammy Steven Mercurio, con la Abiah Symphony Orchestra.
